yesterday, when i pick up the negative and photos, i was thrilled!! i am getting about 1 good shot from every 3 shots, thats on film!! and i love film’s textures and color, photos are straight from the lab, no color or density corrections! ^_^

Sarina was my NAFA ( Nanyang Academic Of Fine Arts) school mate, she graduated from Fashion Design and of cos, I was from Fine Arts. I remember the days where we would meeting with friends from different departments for dao hua and dinner, that was the magical period of my life. heres, Sarina’s wedding story:

woo! i met Ziyi during Say Kheng & Shao Lang’s wedding! Say Kheng is proud of her sister and think she (her sister) has sharper features and is better looking than Ziyi, well i will leave that to you readers. i think Say Kheng have a love for local coffee (kopi-si), thats… so rare!

Certis Cisco 50 years of PROTECTING YOU AND YOURS 24/7

i was invited by my friend Ray & The Meeting Point to be one of the photographer to document Certis Cisco staff’s hardship & joy in their daily work and to share that professionalism & pride of theirs to Singaporean. the exhibition is at National Museum of Singapore at the Concourse, they open daily from 10am to 8pm, exhibition runs from today till 11 of december.

for this exhibition, Sherman & I is showcasing a collaborative work of film stills & scrips from Sherman’s shortfilm, “Flooding in the Time of Drought“. Since this film have a marriage of uncertainty, the director fuse two or more elements together and let the viewers have their own conclusions, i choose to use chinese rice paper for its translucent feel, i feel that this further explore the idea on prints, its very drive in cinema feel, i have always wanted to print my images on this medium but don’t have a chance. Thanks to Kelvin & Belinda’s help, we are able to explore printing on the chinese rice paper on their really new Epson Stylus Pro 9900 large format printer which carries the new 10 color UltraChrome HDR (high dynamic range) ink.

ps. i strongly feel many artists in this exhibitions have not ” pushing the boundaries of their works ” and experiment on new mediums to married with their works, there is still many who choose to experiment to print on wood, metal, plastic (yes i do love her work, the medium was well choosen) and omg canvas & paper (imho these are so old school!!).
